Default Just saying "Hello"...looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Just wanted to send out an introduction for everyone.

First off, "Hello". I have been lurking around the board for months, and felt that it was finally time to join and participate a bit.

I have been using and enjoying straights for a few years now. I truly enjoy everything associated with this hobby, to a point that it has led me to pursue it as a profession. I am to start barber school in July and am throughly excited. Our local barber (we only have one in our small town) is looking to retire in a couple of years and offered his shop to me. So, it is off to school, work under him for a year or two, and then buy him out and strike out on my own. I can't wait to get started.

Anyway, I intend to provide a whole range of services, including shaves to my future customers. I am hoping that I will be able to provide a shave that would be worthy of the wisdom passed along these boards.

I just again wanted to say "Hello" and that I am here to learn, and help whenever I can. Please wish me luck in the months ahead.

If anyone is interested, this is the school that I will be attending... Old Town Barber College Wichita Barber School Kansas Accreditation

Take care, and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

As Jimmy says, welcome to SRP and good luck with your new career!

There are a few barbers here on the site, Gary Haywood is one here in London I believe. Have a look around and make yourself at home!

Actually it is...I had considered it for a long time. With the chance to have someone help show me the ropes after getting out of school, and the chance to get my own shop so quickly, I just had to take the chance. Can't wait to get started.

    Thanks for the welcome everyone.
