I have never owned a straight razor but plan to soon. I've looked around online and have come to like the looks of Dovo. I've had my eye on the "All Stainless Steel" model. I like it because of it's more modern look and how it looks like it will last a long time. I'll gladly accept and look forwards to any advice or recomendations since I'm new to everything about straight razors.

Here's a link to the straightrazorplace.com wiki page of the razor

Hello Slyfox and welcome to the SRP forum. You've certainly come to the right place to learn about straight razor shaving. The place is filled with information and very nice people. My first straight razor was a Dovo and I still shave with it on a regular basis. I would also advise looking at the razors that members have for sale in the classified section of this forum. These come shave ready. I have bought several through this forum and have never been disappointed.

    Welcome aboard. Enjoy.

Vintage blades outlasted our grandparents and will outlast us if we treat them with even a little respect. I understand factoring in looks. But, the outlasting factor isn't significant in my opinion.

when i said "I like it because of it's more modern look and how it looks like it will last a long time" i was talking about the blade as well as the scales, as both of them are made from stainless steel.
