Hello world
Patrick here. I am active on many cigar boards and was sent here by a fellow from CigarAsylum. Other than smoking a cigar somewhere you can usually find me on a golf course. Very interested in trying a shave with a straight razor and looking forward to learning from you all.

Welcome Patrick!
We're glad to have you with us! You're in the right place to get on the straight razor train..!
If you havent already, check the Wiki and other articles linked in my sig line below. They will really help you on your way, and will answer a fair few questions.
To get started you'll need a razor, strop, brush and some soap or cream. You can pick up all of these items from one of the Vendors in the Vendors corner, and there is also kit available in the classifieds here, so be sure to look there as well.
Other than that, pull up a chair and make yourself at home! There are a fair few cigar smokers here, including myself on odd occasions, so you are in good company!
Good luck and keep us posted!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Would this be suitable for a first razor? If so, I'm jumping on it! Thanks for the help, everyone.
