Thanked: 0Hi, all!
For years I've been wanting to learn how to wet shave and learn the ins and outs and I have found just the place to learn. Seems to be a ton of experience here so I'll be doing a ton if research and reading. I still have to buy all the gear but I'm very excited. I'm a 32 year old father of 4, happily married, former Marine and a current Firefighter and I got to pamper myself however I can and wet shaving seems the perfect way to accomplish this. Ah yes im also a member of the oldest fraternity in the world

Welcome!
There is a wealth of knowledge and information here. Wet shaving, and shaving with a straight razor in particular, is a great way to relax and enjoy yourself. With time and experience shaving becomes very Zen-like and a ritual unto itself.
A caution, shave by yourself and keep the straight razors where the kids can't get to them. Interruptions break concentration and therefore lessen the enjoyment, and I know how kids can be looking at Dad's stuff. Normal, but straight razors are not for kids.
Thanks for your service.
