Thanked: 0New member from the alps
Hello
First... sorry about my very poor english!
I'm from Switzerland. Since january i live in the very southern part of Switzerland very near to Italy. Im here to learn the italian language. (We speak 4 different languages in Switzerland. Im 24 years old/young. My hobbies are playing bass, guitar and music in general, shooting (90% pistol 10% rifle), Whisky, reading and shaving.
Im into traditional shaving since more or less one year and after 2 month of shaving i started honing.
Razors: I have now about 20 shave ready straight razors (W&B, Filarmonica, Crown&Sword, Wacker to tell some known manufacures) and some others who needs some work. At the moment i prefer vintage razors. I also like to work on them because after ther is an other style of relationship to my daylie razors.
an example:
before
after
Everyday i use this razor there is a smile on my face. And i remember the work, the time and the experiance this razer gave to me.
I talked about honing: i hone with the Naniwa Super Stones Serie: got an 800/5000, 3000/8000 and a 1000 Stone.
Just fixed and honed this razor this week. Couldn't remove the little reds point on the ivory scales and prefere some litte pitting than a mirror like blade. This razor is old and donÄt have to hide. The shave yesterday morning was wonderful.

(i've seen another razor of this manufacture on SRP)
Thats all.
I hope i can learn here that much like in the German forums.
Please ask if you have some questions.
Regards,
Joel

That is a nice-looking Bastet!
What sort of strop are you using after honing on the 8000 naniwa?

Welcome to SRP.
Nice job on both razors especially the ERNThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
