Thread: Where can i buy a razor?

I live in Indianapolis, IN and i want to start using a straight razor but i do not know where i can purchse one. Can you lead me in the right direction?

You're in the right place if you want to get started. We have a classifieds section here on the forum where you can buy shave ready razors and other related items. Also have a look in the Vendors Corner forum, where you will find links to all our registered vendors sites. They sell everything from Aftershave to Z.. ZZ. Zstrops..!

You'll need, as a minimum, a shave ready razor and a strop. Most people like to use a badger brush and soap as well, as this high quality lather really makes a difference to the shave.

+1 on the Classifieds. As a matter of fact, there is a razor/strop set for sale right now that looks to be a decent deal. The important thing is that the razor is shave ready, and most of the vendors in the classifieds will guarantee that.

As stated, you will need a brush and soap for the best possible prep. You can get started with a brush/soap set at your local pharmacy for under $10.
