    At 60 y/o have decided to take the plunge, hopefully never to old for old dog to learn new tricks. This seems to be very informative website, look forward to learning to shave the way my grandfather did. One more step in not being so dependent on "the grid".

    Make sure you start with good quality equipment and have your razor honed by a pro so that you have that for a benchmark as you go forward in the learning process.

    thats a great thing Sir!

    Going into what "can't be beat" as far as closeness..is a great switch..everyone I talked to always hesitate to wield a straight razor..they all say the same excuses to me "my hands n face don't follow one another"..my response..you wanting to try it out!...congrats!

    You're definately in the right place to get involved in the straight razor world, thats for sure..!

    As others have said, be sure to read the Wiki and other beginners articles. There are links to these in my sig line below.
