Thread: The New Guy!

I thought I'd introduce myself here before posting any threads... My name is Shawn, I am 23 years old and currently living in NC. I started to get fascinated with straight razor shaving a few years ago but never had the money to really buy a full out kit and spend the time to do it. Not exactly sure why I am fascinated by it, maybe because it's an old way of doing things and I am into doing quite a few things the "traditional" way. My hobbies mostly are building hot rods, customs, motorcycles, and collecting old things such as phonographs, music equipment, etc. All I have every really known to do since high school and college is work on cars and restorations...
Anyways, I am hoping to find some good info here and possibly find a used straight razor to start with as well as honing/sharpening. This seems like a great place to start learning and hopefully one day I can have a nice collection of straight razors.

Thanks for the welcome! As for the Wiki, I have already started reading it some. I will spend a few hours on this site again tonight.
