Default DE shaver from New Zealand

    Kia ora!
I'm DE shaver with aspirations reduce my shaving by half...
I've acquried on old "acron" hollow ground straight razor and I want to use it! After a first attempt, I suspect it is not sharp enough. Whilst shaving it didn't feel smooth and felt like it was grabbing on my stubble. I didn't cut myself though
After giving it a gentle re hone on a colonel itchibod conk sharpening stone I had another go, but with similar results.
Does anyone have any advice regarding what may help?
    Thanks,

Look in the classifieds section under Member Services and find a honemeister that's close to you.My geography isn't so good but I think Australia is somewhat close?Oz (onimaru) is a good one in OZ.Send it to him for honing. Then if you decide to learn how,you will know what a pro-honed razor feels like.

    Hey Alan,
That sounds like a great idea. I'll have a look and see if I can find him.
    Thanks,
