Smile Another Okie here.....yeah, I know....

Just wanted to say hello and that I have enjoyed the reading on here. I am new to SR's, but so far have enjoyed trying to use them. I am 47 years old, and remember Dad talkin bout shaving with them and seeing my granddad's sr's, which I thought back then that they were really kool. I picked up an ebay special, cheap, new, Zeepk....2 razors, strop, soap, brush and cup...have used them a few times already, and if a really good razor will shave better than this, then cant wait to check em out. Anyways, thanx for listenin to me babble and all.....

Kent, welcome to SRP (even if you are an Okie LOL)! Is it true that only two things come from Oklahoma? I'm just wondering because when I was growing up that was the rumor...

If you're still excited after shaving with a Zeepk, you aren't going to believe what you've got in store. Pick yourself up a real razor and get in the game!

    Kent-

Learn from your first mistake. Stay aware from the Bay! Do your shopping on the classifieds or from a reputable vendor! You need a good shaveready razor, not an eBay project!

I'd say you luckboxed your way into a very good option. Undream (the seller) is a very well regarded member here who does incredible restoration work. Buying one of his eBay razors is the next best thing to buying from the classifieds or an approved vendor here...

Welcome welcome from a Northwestern Okie. My brother(sbrouwers) and I are both from the north west corner. The Zeepk.......wouldn't open my mail with one lol. If you got the ebay razor you were looking you are in for one wonderful awakening. Next steps will be to pick up a good brush, soap, and strop and things will only get better and better.

Kent, you definitely need the strop (at least) before you use your new beauty. There are inexpensive ways to get one. As a starter you would not go wrong with a Filly by RupRazor or one of the SRD strops. If you don't have a brush/soap and want to start out relatively inexpensive/convenient, go to Walmart where you should be able to find a Van derHagen brush and either VDH or Williams soap. The brush/soap are not luxury items but they get the job done...
