Thanks Utopian (who might be Ron), I appreciate the offer and may take you up on it sometime. I have purchased some Norton water stones 220/1000 and 4k/8k combos, but haven't tried anything other than an old $10 razor I picked up at a flea mart. Needs to have the bevel set, but haven't tried to do that yet. It had a pretty bad nick in the blade that I took out, but it looks pretty worn out as spine is pretty flat. Figure I'm not out much to just play around with it on the hones. Lou (who might be Lou)
