A little about myself
Name: Eugene Slagle
Born: Baltimore, Md. 40 years ago
On my second but happier marriage of almost 11 years with 3 beautiful girls, 17 - 8 - 3.
Master GM auto tech/mechanic
Traditional Archer/bowhunter
I tried SR shaving about 20+ years ago but kinda got into the rush of life & picked up the Gillete Mach shavers & then recently the Fusions but alas I was really never happy with the results of the shave & the cost of the cartridges, so recently I decided to give SR shaving another go & talked my wife in letting me get my first kit.
I know I have a lot to learn but I can honestly say that I'm happier for my decision because like my Traditional Archery, it makes me slow down & enjoy the experience & eventually appreciate the results.

Welcome
Welcome to SRP! Slowing down is one of the reasons I chose to switch to str8s. What once was a chore to dispense with as quickly as possible is now one of the highlights of the day.
Don't hesitate to ask questions. I'm happy to share anything I know, and there are guys a lot more experienced than me who are generous with their knowledge.
Happy shaving!

Welcome. You'll find many of us slowing down and now enjoying something that was a real killer to my day. Three girls....whoaaaaa hold on!!!

My second marriage is like night and day! Always better the second time!
Haven't had my Bear Grizzly out for a long time since I moved to the city.
Welcome!

Thanks for sharing!
I can definately relate to slowing things down a bit. The more I'm part of the rat race the more I want to get out of it..! And my daily shave is a chance for me to take the time to really enjoy the whole experience and slow things down.
I find my days are much better when I have the time to enjoy a shave in the mornings. Or at least I dont get stressed out until lunchtime lol..!
