Thread: New member from Holland

Hi there,

I am new here, so here's a short introduction.
I am from Enschede, the Netherlands. I have a strong beard and a sensitive skin.
I am about to shave myself for the first time with a straight razor.
About a month ago I switched from the Gillette Fusion to a DE razor; the Merkur Futur. That was quite a change and I liked it a lot. I already got a badger brush from Muhle and good cream from Trumpert and soap from Mama Bear.
Last week I bought my first straight from barbershopclassics.nl, a C.V. Heljestrand " Rex".
Now I'm going to shower and right after that I will use the straight.
I'll keep you informed. And I'd appreciate all kind of advice

Everyone thinks they have a strong beard & sensitive skin, so you'll fit right in here!
Hopefully you already have the prep sorted out, so as long as you have a shave ready blade, you're off to a great start.
