Thread: Hello from Sarasota, Fl

Hello!

Greetings from the sunshine state. I've been lurking for a while now, I've had a few posts, recently purchased a new straight razor and stop and now I feel it was time to introduce myself and say hi.

My recent love of wet shaving has grown to include shaving with a straight razor. To put it simply - I'm hooked! I love it, I love it, I love it... I enjoy the ritual wether it is shaving with a DE or straight. I never knew the mundane task of shaving could be so enjoyable. I MAKE the time to spend with myself to enjoy my morning ritual.

I appreciate having this (SRP) online community as a resource. The members here are wonderful! I've received many answers to my questions and have had many of my questions answered by reading the other posts here.

I'm originally from Upstate NY near Syracuse. Left there in '79 to go into the Army. After 20 years of serving this great country I decided to hang up my combat boots and become a banker. Retired to Southern Illinois in '99 and moved to Sarasota, Fl in 2001.

I also enjoy golf, cigars, and single malt scotch - Life is great!

I look forward to interacting with the members here and I will thank you in advance for answering all my questions.

First off thank you for your service to our country we are all in your debt. Second welcome to SRP, this is a great group of people and a great source of information. Cigars, scotch, straight razor shaving and golf in FL, sounds like a great way to live.
