    Smile straight razor newbie

    Hello!
My name is MJ. I'm new to straight razors. like, entirely new. dont own one yet, thats how new! anyways, it's something i've been interested in for a while. I love the things of the classic gentleman; pipes, flasks, razors, watches.

I'm from Massachusetts, i'm 20 (just over 2 weeks till 21!!), i'm a chef, unemployed, but starting a new position next week!

Im hoping to learn about how to find (and afford, i hope!), use, and maintain a razor....i was redirected here from multiple sources, so i decided what the heck!

with my work schedule, ill only be available a few days a week, so i may not be a super frequent contributor, but i will try!!!

    Smile Welcome, MJ

I'll take those recipes. As a full time stay at home dad I'm frequently in need of inspiration.

Hahaha, cigars as well, just not so frequently anymore....I prefer genuine Bolivars, and they're, obviously, not so easy to source!!! I'm happy to stick to pipe tobacco in the mean time lol.

    welcome, bro.

i guess if you live in the US, the best place to acquire serious razors is SRP.

Be sure to get a shave ready razor. from SRP. or SRD. or whatever.

What's a shave ready razor? I can't explain. A razor that is really comfortable to shave with, maybe. I had to learn it the hard way.
