    Default Still Another New Guy

I am Tim, from Texas, and I am learning to love some of the things that have been "lost" in recent generations. I started out listening to old time radio shows, then began smoking pipes, then began making and selling pipes (in for a penny in for a pound) and now one of my best customers (Nosewarmer on this forum) is introducing me to still another soothing experience. I just ordered a DE and, if that goes well, will hit my wife up for a nice straight razor this Christmas. All the best to all of you. I am amazed at the activity here.

Welcome to SRP. You'll be amazed how addicting this forum can be, that and getting great shaves from a DE and then learning to use a straight. But beware, this new "soothing" experience can lead to a lighter wallet.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Welcome Tim. You need to let us know how your first shave goes with your new straights.

I will, thanks. They are beautiful (and a little scary looking for a newbie).

Thanks to sbrouwers, I am the proud owner of a shave ready Wade & Butcher gentlemens use 7/8 hollow gound with original horn scales in great condition, and a shave ready Worcester 6/8 full hollow ground.

Wonder who has been using them through the years ...

Ya it's kinda neat (or scary) to think who may have had a razor before you!!

Welcome! I'm fighting the return to pipe smoking. I have to keep the wife. Welcome to this hobby.
