Thanked: 0Time for a good shave.
My first remark is "Thanks to the developers of such a awesome site." I, like many people, been thinking or wanting to switch to a straight razor for sometime. Today I finally got the courage and invested into this almost lost forgotten art. My reasons. 1: To be able to teach my boys later in there life, still to young to shave so maybe I will have time to become proficient. 2: Bringing a self accomplishment to myself. Old tradition that in my belief after visiting this site everyone should start doing again.
The only bad thing, I bought my razor before seeing this site. I found it right after my purchase. Go figure. I have about two weeks before my razor will show up. So lots of time to go over some techniques. Pleasure putting this on. And hope everyone has close and nick free shaves.

Thanked: 0What a relief!
If you read my last post, you saw that I thought I made a mistake on ordering my str8 razor. Lucky for me I bought it off of the site Lynn has on his pages, Straight Razor Designs. What a relief to find out about the razor already comes professionally honed.

Welcome! Getting a Str8 from Lynn was a great stroke of luck. You could not have done yourself better. I still consider myself new to this so the best advice I can give is read the wiki on starting out and don't be afraid to ask questions here. They will be cheerfully answered by a group of folks who know str8 shaving very well.
