    Talking noob

    Hi all
Sorry to take so long to introduce myself but been a busy bee. Just taken up shaving in this manner so reading a lot of the wiki. Until I get accustomed to wielding the razor I am just shaving the easy bits and doing around the mouth and front of chin with a safety razor. I am sure I will soon get up to speed though.

That's the best way to start.

    Hello, Spadino:

    Welcome to Straight Razor Place.

You're doing this the proper way: methodically and carefully. Those are fine attributes for wet shaving with the straight razor. Take your time and you'll get there.

In the process please post your questions and you'll have you answer in no time.

    Regards,

    Obie

I didn't start that way & I still have the scar to prove it. You're doing the smart thing.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your shaving. I walked those footsteps the last year and now I am finally able to shave properly with a straight. The pride and joy I get out of a Straight shave is actually important to me. It gives me a perfect start to the day in the same shaving style my Grandfather used.
