Thread: unemployed and shaving up a storm

hello. i'm new to wet shaving. i've known how to use a straight for years, after watching the barber do it. i have just learnt about the rest of the setup, the preshave, and the aftershave. i live on long island. i have started with the hart shaving mug, a vulfix 2234, and a 1960 gillette fatboy. for a straight, i've been using a disposable straight with gillette DE razors. i have just discovered shave creams. i bought some musgo preshave soap. i have the vulfix sandalwood, the truefitt/hill sample pack, and the classic shave soap that came with my mug. i bought some CVS brand glycerin after reading about it for the uber lather. i'd like to learn to hone, but first i need the razor and the strop. luckily, i'm patient.
