Thread: Jazor and his razor

Hi all: Jazor here,

Like most straight razor enthusiasts I quickly found my way to this site on the internet.

For the past number of years I've been a casual user of the straight razor which I've bought many years ago.

Recently I decided it was time to stop "cheating" on my beautiful straight razor with disposable crap so I went over to "the blade" cold turkey.

It surprised me how well it went so far.

This motivated me to buy all kinds of straight razor peripherals.

Now nothing should stand in my way to become good at straight razor shaving.

Looking forward to learn from and share with persons on this site that have the same hobby.

It sounds like you are well on your way and enjoying the ride, which is great! Just take your time, dont rush and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

If you havent already, the Wiki articles linked in my sig line will be very helpful and should provide a lot of good tips and advice.

What razor do you have? You say you've had it for a few years so when was it last honed? It may have dulled over time so having her honed might be a good idea!

It's a Friodur Henckels.

I'll post pictures of it in the appropriate place in this forum.

Just have to find where to do that.

Read a lot of info on this forum already and am still reading.
