Cool on the shabs in Sydney baby

    Whats cracking fellow cut throaters?
My name is Alex and i've just recently joined the SRP cause i was coming to the site so damn often!~
    My Story?
I started using a shavette style razor a year ago (present from the missus)
after being on a trip to Venice Italy, and seeing beautiful horn scaled razors and wanted one so bad, too pricey for me though.
later on i lost my Wahl shavette thingy and couldn't find it. thus a beard grew
and months later i finally had enough money to grab a decent razor
got a deal on the internet for a plain white Dovo solingen, Dovo strop, badger, and some soap nice soap too its umm...col. cork world famous shave soap Almond flavor.
now I've gone nuts and bought a bengall and a flic off of eBay oh and one of those Poland hones too, the bengalls actually sharp now.
thats my story and i'm sticking too it
    so yeah GDAY lol

Oh also wondering if i can tell it this flic i bought has real tortoise shell scales
    anyone know how to tell?
    Thanx

G'day Alex. Flic & Bengal eh? 2 nice razors in my books

Likely the Flic has celluloid scales. If you can give em a rub with your finger till warm & they smell like camphor mos def celluloid. Or rub the inside with some fine wetndri to confirm if you can't smell anything the other way.
