    Default Hello From Kentucky

Hello. I just recently started straight razor shaving. I had been shaving with DE's for years. I have an extremely tough, thick beard and had major issues with ingrown beard hairs. The modern, multi-bladed razors just made it worse. Also, I found that they couldn't truly cut my beard. The DE helped, but I had wanted to try a straight for years. Just never could find any local. Took the eBay plunge with mixed results. One fellow has been extremely helpful matching me up with some stiff grinds and wedges. The ingrown hair issues has gotten much better, and I'm getting better at handing the blade. I have been reading through some of the stuff on here, and it has been very helpful. Thanks so much to everyone who contributes.
