    Default Greetings from Louisiana

I'm new to shaving with a straight razor but since I now have plenty of time to devote to this art I thought I would learn a bit about it and practise this craft. I've read many of the threads for beginners and appreciate all the effort and advice that went into these. I look forward to learning more from this forum about the joys of straight razor shaving and thank you again for producing such a wonderful forum.

    str8fencer,

Fa hilsninger. And that basically ends my conversational power in Norwegian. Actually, there is not any real trout fishing in Louisiana, but I’m only three hours from two tailwaters (below a damn) and about six hours from some really great rivers. However, I grew up in Washington and that is where I learned to fish for the trout and other salmonid with the fly rod and that is still my favorite place to go and method to use… so I like to use that moniker. On the other hand, I’m also only three hours from some excellent Red Fish fishing in the marshes of the Gulf of Mexico so that almost makes up for not having a great trout stream closer.
Thank you for replying and I agree that there are some wonderful people here from what I’ve read and great information.
    Eric
