Default "Sie macie ludzie!" from Poland

    Hi,
I am 19, and shaving was always something I hate. One day I found out using brush instead of foam very enjoyable, so I bought a badger brush and soap. I realized that I can make shaving something nice so I decided to go further and bought shavette, I saw straight razor very expensive and I didn't know if I could manage it, but i did and it was enjoyable. I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately I had to start with nothing, no one in my family used straight razor, so not only I had to learn everything by myself (cut my face not once ), but buy all the stuff. It was quite a problem for me, I didn't want to spend a lot of money for my first razor, so i bought a set from ebay, i wasn't sure if it came shave ready, so when I got it, it was useless. I was a little discouraged, but I decided to go for it, and bought hones, just 4000 and 12000 natural water stones (it was all i could afford) and after some time I made it "shave ready". I don't have strong beard, so for me it's just fine and I can get quite a nice shave (definitely better than with my gillette fusion). Now I am looking forward to buy my first good quality razor.

That's my story Hello to everybody again!

    Hi, and welcome to SRP.

It seems that you are already done good job with your shaving. It takes some time to learn but it is surely worth it. This is exactly the right place to find any info on razors and shaving.

You have very beautiful country. I just spent some days in Gdansk and surrounding with my wife. Will be back there some day again
