Thread: Hello!

Yes, I know, very generic title. I'm not feeling very clever today.

So, I'm joining because I've concluded recently that cartridge razors suck and I'd like to shave like a man. Sure, I might be a little late to the party but, you'll have to excuse me, I'm Asian, my facial hair doesn't quite grow ... well ... on most of my face (although I'm 33) and it's taken me a while to come to my previous conclusion.

I've yet to actually buy a straight razor, just poking around, seeing what I can learn and trying to figure out what the best razor will be for me to learn with. I can already see that this might be an expensive endeavor as I tend to be a bit of a collector of things, lighters, sneakers, women, etc. but, I'm looking forward to it.

Oh, and I like long walks on the beach, and I believe in the soul, the ****, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.

And by the sheer fact that I have memorized that quote, you can probably tell that I either really like movies or I'm from LA. Depending on your view of the situation, it's either fortunate or unfortunate that I answer yes to both.
