Default New to the Straight Edge World

Hey there, just thought I'd throw a quick introduction. I'm Chris, have spent the last month reading just about everything I can get my hands on to do with shaving with straight razors (up to and including "Practice and Science of Standard Barbering, original from 1958 lol, great read!) and eager to get started.

I got interested by picking up a George Wostenhom and son awhile back from ebay, sat on a shelf for awhile before I regained interest. As far as I can tell it's in pretty good condition, the blade is straight, still quite sharp (but not shave ready or even close) but as my eye is untrained I'll be taking it to a barber to find out what if anything needs to be done.

Currently in the process of making my own stropes, and looking to get my hands on some hones.

That's just about the jist of it, looking forward to reading more of the forums

    Cheers
    Chris
