Hey guys, I have wanted to get into straight razors for a while and just never had, I've had a new Dovo for a little while that I got as a gift. I finally decided to get started and found this place. I'm looking forward to learning from you guys.

Check the Wiki's. Good place to start.
Ask anything, these guys here helped me alot in the past 2 months. Might be helpful to tell us what equipment you have. The accessories are almost as important as the razor..(strop, cream or soap, oils, etc.)

Yea, I've already started to read through some of the Wiki's. I actually don't currently have anything else, I'm just about to start acquiring the rest. My ears are open to any suggestions of what's good to start with.

Do you know anything about "The Art of Shaving" products? They have a storefront near me I was thinking of getting some supplies from.

A good thing to start with, while you wait to acquire things like strops and such, is to send that razor out for a professional honing, if it wasn't done prior to leaving the shop.
