    Default Please help!!!

I am not a straight razor user yet, but I do have some questions. I recently ( today actually) had some (10)straight razors fall into my lap so to speak. I honestly had never really considered using one previously, but after finding this site, I am considering keeping them. I don't really know if what I have are good razors or not though.
I have a a few that I have been able to look up on Google and get some info, and luckily this site, but a few more I haven't been able to get any information at all. For instance, if anyone can give me any information on a company called "Adolphus Cutlery Co." or "Shumate Cutlery Co." or "Weichsel Co." that would help.
I have a "Joseph Rodgers & Sons" that says "Hollow Ground For Barbers Use" on the blade. There is also a "Wade and Butcher" , a " Dame, Stoddard & Co. with the number 394 on the blade. ( On a side note, I noticed on a post here that some of the Dame blade have Boston, Mass. on them, this one does not, just Solingen-Germany. It appears to have a wooden handle and very ornate ingravings along the top of the blade. Any help would be appreciated very much.

Pics are coming guys. I'm at work so I have to be a little secretive about having 10 straight razors while I'm here.

To help you on your way, I'd be happy to hone one of them for you (free of charge of course). If interested, just let me know via PM.

    Welcome to SRP!

I confiscated them from my father in law. He was taking them to a local swap meet with plans to sell them for $15.00 each or best offer. He found them rolled up in a cloth C&H Sugar bag from the 1930's when he was going through some stuff from a deceased relatives estate. Really glad I did too.
