Hello Everyone,

Just thought I would share my story, I just had my first shave with a straight about 20 minutes ago. I purchased a Dovo Prima Klang from SRD and it came in the mail today. For the past few weeks I have been researching and finally pulled the trigger. Here's a little info, I have very sensitive skin, and a very thick beard. I have always had to shave with a fresh mach 3 blade and it was getting to be ridiculous expensive. So I made the jump to straights.

Like I said I just had my first shave a few minutes ago. It was very nice, took me a long time though. I have read all the wikis and seen 100 youtube videos, but it seems like nothing beats practice practice practice. It was close, and very comfortable, although I am still a little freaked about slicing into my face. I managed to not nick myself at all, which was reassuring. My only complaint is that my lack of practice and skill left me a little blotchy, as I only went against the grain on some parts of my face it seems. The chin was a bastard to shave haha. All else went well. I loved the shave and loved the blade. Can't wait to do it again tomorrow, and I look forward to many spirited discussions on this board.

cheers,
raphael
