    Default Saying hi from SoCal

    Hey everyone. I have been lurking here for quite a while and just now decided to make an account. I'm from Huntington Beach, CA.

    I bought a 9/16 Wester Brothers razor, strop, and brush from whippeddog about a month ago. I went to my local shop and picked up some soap and I must say, I have gotten to the point where I can shave my whole face, and it is by far the most comfortable shave I have ever had. I get practically no razor burn. Some of my friends think I am crazy for wanting to try it as I am only 18 but I have actually got another of my friends to try it out too. I love it.

    Welcome to other side. It is nice to see younger men starting to str8 shave. I've enjoyed Str8 shaving since I was young but never did it myself.

    welcome welcome. I used to have a few westers and they worked great (until they were stolen ). Anyway, good to have you. I look forward to hearing more about your straight shaving adventures.

    Excellent! Another SoCal guy. I'm in Oceanside and at the far end of the age spectrum (63). There are a bunch of us here.
