    Default First Straight Razor Shave

First straight razor shave today, still working on technique but it went well. Face feels a little raw (not sure if that is normal or not) but only had a nick or two. Hoping next shave is a bit smoother

Congrats on the first shave. As your technique gets better the rawness will get better. Keep at it, the shave get better and better with experience.

Congrats on the first shave! Sounds like a standard first shave. It will take you face awhile to adjust to the straight razor, and it will take some time for you to develop your technique.

The first shave is often one of the worst, because not only do you lack all technique, but the first shave is often scary. Now that you have the first one down and know you aren't going to cut your head off, you can calm down and start developing your techinque.

Yup lots of adjusting to do on the first few shaves. As long as you keep it light and slow you shouldn't run into to many problems. It all gets easier with time and practice
