Default My first Straight razor shave

I had myt first straight razor shave on saturday and it was fun. I need to practice a lot, I cut myself a lot. My leather wasnt as good as it should have been. I was so nervous I could hardly hold the razor. I didnt want to buy an expensive razor so I bought the Dovo Shavette I like it a lot. I'm learning to use a safety razor too.

My hands were shaking from fear the first time I used a straight, even after three years the first shaving stroke of every shave gets me thinking.

Shavette's can be more cut inducing than a real straight, but are great to learn on.

Congrats! Your hands will steady out and you'll be fine. I started shaving on a DE, went to throw away, now on Str8 and am looking for a DE for days I travel.

    Good Luck!!
