Thanked: 4Hello from WA
Hi Everybody...
I am just getting into knife making and saw a pointer to this site on KnifeDogs.com related to making razors. Some day I want to give that a try so I am here to read and learn from the guys in the The Workshop ยป The Forge section. When I get up the nerve it could be nice to learn to use a straight razor to shave with. I don't know why its so scary but it is. I think nothing of shaving hair off my arm testing my sharpening but holding a razor to my face seems different. I expect I will get over that quick enough

If you need any guinea pigs for your razors, I can be in Issaquah in 30 minutes.

Thanked: 4LOL! You never know... but JeffR is already set to be the first guinea pig. Not saying that a second tester could not be used at some point. The first razors are going to be 4/8th or 7/16th to match the blade steel I have. In my next order of steel I will be getting steel that would work for 6/8th size razors.
