Thanked: 0Dropping in from Texas
Been reading the forums for a few days and finally got around to signing up. Haven't got a razor yet, taking my time looking into things. One thing I'm real sure of is that I'm tired of buying into the disposable razor machine. Also, the appeal of bringing back a piece of the past and a way of doing things from back then is big for me. I already cook in 100 year old cast iron skillets so why not shave with something that old or older. Anybody ever have any luck finding old razors at First Monday Trades Days in Canton? Never looked for razors there before but I plan on it now.

Welcome to SRP. Part of the fun of this hobby is finding all sorts of vintage shaving related gear at antique shops/flea markets, etc. I have a couple of razors in my rotation that are close to being 100 years old. Take your time, read the wiki and post any questions you have if you can't find answers in any previous threads. Welcome aboard.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Thanked: 2Welcome. The members here are very helpful. Pipes in the asheville mall has razors and accessories but a bit overpriced. DOVO Straight Razors
cheapest site I've found so far for razors and sets and you can order pre-honed (which is better than factory edge)
