Not so young new boy...
Hi all,
this forum was suggested to me by a member here and also a member of another forum i belong to which does have some relation to this one, i.e a knife forum where we discuss blades, sharpening etc.
i mentioned the interest in moving towards using a straight razor and was sent the link to here along with a very kind offer re a blade to try.
so here i am to look around and learn.

Welcome Mike! You will not find a more friendly, considerate and helpful group of people anywhere. Make sure to read the wiki and then ask tons of questions. They will all get answered. Good luck!

Welcome Mike. If you're going to look around the SRP Wiki beginner's guide here is a good place to start.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Not So Young New Boy
Hello, Mike:
Welcome to Straight Razor Place.
There are a number of us gentlemen here with barnacles on our hull, but we mingle well with the younger generation of shavers. Everyone is welcome here.
What's more, as you will find out, Straight Razor Place also has a cast of experts on every element of wet shaving with the straight razor. They give generously of their knowledge and expertise. Please study the Wiki and ask questions.
We're delighted to have you with us.
Regards,
Obie
