    Default Hello From Washington

Good Day fellas, My name is Herb and I just stumbled across this site the other day while doing some research on razors. I'm from North Central Washington (state) and have always had an interest, or spark if you will for straight razors and the finer things from earlier times (I'm only 24, but an old soul). I've recently decided that it is time to acquire one of these fine tools of grooming, and look forward to enjoying all the information and camaraderie that this site has to offer. Happy New Year everyone!

Welcome aboard! You will find a wealth of information here. You can start with the stickies in the top of the Beginner's section, the Wiki's Beginner's section, and the link in my signature line.

Straights may or may not work out for you. Not everyone who enthusiastically starts out with them continue with them. There is a learning curve for which some don't have the patience. Just keep in mind that a hundred years ago it was straights or nothing so it is a tool most can use with the right knowledge and practice and patience.

    Cool

Welcome to SRP from another Inland Norwester

Just a heads up, we had a NW meet up last year and are planning on making this an annual thing...

Here is the thread from the last one so keep it in the back of your mind

    Agreed, the meet was awesome!
Where are ya? I'm in Yakima. Always up for a meet up if you wish.
You will learn so much more in a meet than months on your own.

Welcome and enjoy your time here.

Heck, that's nothing. Not even to the 'Natch. Well when Glen mentions the meet again I'll try to save a seat. Meet in 'Burg or something. Let me know if you need help, I'm rarely up your way, but I frequent EBurg.

    Welcome Hertz!

Great to see another 20-something starting straights.
