A collection fell in my lap
Gentlemen, I have in my possession a collection of thirteen razors, that came to me from some friends when their father died. Unfortunately they do not actually belong to me YET. I was told that I may choose one and since they have no idea what their value is. I can buy or try to sell the rest for them, or at least find out what they are worth. Most need restoration ( minor I believe ) but one or two just need honing. Personaly I'm quite fond of them all, and would like to see them all shave ready and in my collection.
I can't get pics at the moment, but will update asap.
For now here's what I got.
1 DORKO Germany
1 GENCO OLD DUTCH
1 BOKER Germany
2 George Wostenholm&Son's Sheffield England
2 SHUMATE St louis
1 WESTER BROS Germany
1 P.A. Germany
1 KRUSIUS BROTHERS Germany
1 WADE & BUCTHER Sheffield England
1 S D SHAW B.S. Co (says Wichita KAS. , but made in Germany )
1 C.W. DAHLGREN ESKILSTUNA MEDALJER Chicago
Any thoughts, opinions, questions PLEASE let me know

We can't help you with sale values, as neither sales nor appraisals are allowed in the forums here, but if you put up some pictures we can definitely help you determine which ones are the best candidates for shaving, and which will need repairs (and what repairs those might be.)
Hope this helps.

They will likely all shave if honed up but pick the straightest cleanest, least rusty ,least pitted, least worn razor amongst them. Unfortunately, not any easy assessment without experience. Good clear pics of spine & edges will help.

Pics are definitely a huge help, and i'm sure here are plenty of us out here, that will give a decent price if you do end up selling some.

There is one blade, (one of the Shumates) I have admired in particular. Of all of them it is, ( in my inexperienced opinion ) in almost perfect condition, no rust at all, scales in good condition. It effortlessly took hairs off my arm, but then again so did a few others. That one, and the BOKER, the spine work really catches the eye.
I promise to get pics soon. I tried to take a few yesterday but they where all crap.
I guess I need to make one of the photo boxes I saw in the wiki.
