Greetings from Southern California!
I picked up a Parker disp. and a Gold Dollar w/a Filly. After a ton of lurking around and YT vids, I took the plunge tonight with the Parker so I can get the feel, as they say. I've been DE shaving for a few months to work my way up to this. Well, I didn't get far into the neck before I picked up
the DE to finish the job, but the cheeks & jaw line went pretty smooth.
NO WEEPERS NOT ONE! Even though the Shark blade seemed not so sharp. Anyways, I'll post up when I tackle the GD.

Thanked: 1371Welcome to SRP! Congrats on your shave without any bleeding.
Soon enough you'll be enjoying smooth straight razor shaves!

Thanks.
Yeah I kinda folded on the neck & reached for the DE! It's a whole different ball game in that region.

Thanked: 1263Welcome. Nothing wrong with grabbing the DE for those hard to tackle areas or touch ups. Congrats on the shave!

Welcome to SRP, and congrats on your first straight shave.
Shaving with a straight takes awhile to get down, so there is no shame in using the DE for the hard spots while your technique develops.

Welcome to SRP.
Working on the easy areas of the face and using your regular razor to finish the shave is the best way to gain confidence.'Living the dream, one nightmare at a time'
