Thread: New guy with a Yourex razor.

Hello, I've been going over the forums for a few days now. I just signed up and would like to thank everyone who has posted info, pictures, etc. here. I'm brand new to the world of straight razors. This may be a subject for a different thread but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the Yourex razor company in Chicago IL. I bought my first razor from an antique store the other day and that was the brand.
I'll post a picture after I A.) read up on how to get a good picture B.) find my camera. All in all it seems to be in decent shape (to the untrained eye.) I cleaned it up a bit, the scales are black, nothing special. It does have the words Barber Special printed across the blade. Its seen some use but after some professional honing (and more cleaning) I think it should be shave ready. I was mostly curious if anyone knew about the manufacturer, I know there are tons that have passed into obscurity. Thank you in advance.

welcome to SRP and im sorry that i cant provide any usful info on your razor but im sure someone on here will know somthign about it.
