    Default New member, Hailing from Southern Africa

    Hello, and thank you for the opportunity to pilfer your minds and hopefully one day contribute myself.

    I am really keen to hear from others living here(SA) as simple items such as strops or mustache wax are not available here and expensive to import and would be great if someone knew of a treasure trove where we could get our civilized shaving fix here in Mzanzi, affordably.

    I love all things edged and have been enthralled buy traditional shaving methods for many years and have insisted on shaving with a variety razors over the years that would make some of you guys toes curl. Edges so far from 'shave ready' I will probably cry when I shave for the first time with a properly honed razor. And hopefully by 2012 I will have that opportunity and I dare say it will be with the help of the SRP.

    Welcome to SRP! I am eager to hear of your first shave with a shave-ready razor.

    I've seen posts from a fellow somewhere in South Africa, but don't remember his name. He's doing some great prospecting for natural hones. You can probably search the honing forum for "South Africa" and find him that way.
