Thread: Just getting started

Hello everyone,

My name is Cliff from Greensboro, NC. I started out wet shaving almost a year ago with a few DEs that I picked up and fell in love with the whole wet shaving process. After years of struggling with bad shaves from cartridges, it was as if I had seen the light. When I told my grandmother of my new found interest, she dug around and, lo and behold, came up with a few of my grandfather's old straights and his strop. The bug hit me immediately. I've been working with a straight for just over a month now, figuring out my technique and reading/watching all the great advice on this forum. I have a few good straights, picked up a good starter strop and some hones. I know the hones were unnecessary at first, but I know that bug will hit me soon enough.
