Newbie with restoration on his mind
Hello fellow wetshavers! I am newbie to this forum but I have been shaving with a str8 for about 6 months.(Which means I'm still a newbie in that department as well). I have also just picked up my fist Otto hans which is in great shape to take a crack at my first restoration. I probably over paid for it but I don't care I really like the asthetics and can't wait to get it back to shave ready state. I would like to replace the scales but want to keep the decals. I see that the two in the bottom look like they're held on with the pins? But how would I go about removing the larger Otto Deutsch logo in the middle of the scales? I am a fairly decent metal worker so the little bit of tarnish on this blade presents no problem in getting a mirror finish on it. Any advice would be greatly appriciated.

Thanked: 1263Welcome to SRP. Check out the WIKI under restoration and there should be something in there to help with your restore. I've never done any inlay transfers but I'm sure one of the other guys will chime in to give you some advice.
