Thanked: 443I'm guessing you're already one of the cool kids. Maybe not the first one on your continent, but still.
I've seen a lot of nice blades for sale by another Australian, user name johnmrson or something close to that.
Good luck with your new collection. Don't hit anyone with them.
By the way, what do you reenact?"These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."

Thanked: 0Mostly Viking, Anglo Saxon and a bit of Byzantine, but have done a few other one off things where someone has lent me gear and said "here go be a spartan" or "Here put this fancy coat and tricorn hat on and go be a pirate, none of these guys look convincing swinging these cutlases around"

There are plenty of guys from your neck of the woods and I am sure they can help you acquire the things you need without the hassle of importation. Welcome to SRP!

Thanked: 0Razors are here, will put pics up elsewhere when I can get a camera pointed at them.
Came with some cool old cases and boxes, seem for the most part to be in reasonable condition as far as I can tell. Bit rusty in places, some of the scales on them are a bit on the well loved/slightly abused side, but none are horribly broken looking.
All seem to have some sort of edge on them still, probably not a good one to shave with, but probably plenty sharp enough for nasty accidents whilst cleaning off the rust

Welcome to SRP .
Sounds like you are right into your re enactment .
Hollywood is such a disappointment when it comes to authenticity. Ah well suspension of disbelief & all that“The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.”
