    Thanks everyone. Just started wetshaving at Christmas and the difference over cartridge/goo is amazing. Always been interested/intimidated by straight razors but figured what the heck. Man's been doing it for ages, so can I.

    Already been reading tons here and learned lots. Thanks to everyone for the generous freedom of information. It's refreshing.

    Welcome aboard Charlie. I live near Knoxville and just started Str8ght shaving this year. I'm on my second month and just bought my second razor this morning at an antique store.
