    Thumbs up Newb from IA

Kinda already introduced myself in the main forum, but figured I'd say hi here too.

I've yet to acquire any straight shaving equipment, but I'm looking to give straight shaving a shot to eliminate the constant battle with ingrown neck hairs, and the continual replacement of razor cartridges.

With a little luck maybe I can stem the tide from my wallet and not look like I just started shaving all the time.

I've already gotten a lot of encouraging input from guys here at SRP. Glad I found this forum.

    Jim

This is a VERY addicting way to shave. If you're like most of us, you'll probably end up with some incurable acquisition disorder(s) and have multiple razors, brushes, soaps/creams....the list goes on. But best of luck to you BigJim. Oh, and by the way, welcome to SRP!
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

I'm glad I can provide a laugh. I already have multiple acquisition disorders; most of them involving cylindars, spark plugs, oil, and gasoline. Luckily for me, my wife and I met because of the aforementioned disorders, and she's keen on the whole straight razor thing...and me not having a chewed up neck.

It's different too, when you spend money because you WANT to, rather than because you NEED to. I love working on cars, when I'm upgrading, assembling, etc. It's a PITA to have to work on them b/c they break down. Kinda feel the same about razors.

    Thanks for the welcome.
