Another New Member From Minnesota, Hello
Hi everyone, how are things? I'm new to straight razors, and after reading a lot of information on this site, I'll be heading to the classifieds after this post! Anyways, I've been wanting to ditch my Gillette for some time now, I'm sick of settling for a mediocre shave, and the price it comes with. I realize everyday is a learning process, and I thank you all in advance for future help. I'll be sure to use the search button!

Welcome to SRP! You have a lot of company here in Minnesota.
I sure wish you could attend todays annual Minnesota Razor Meet at Mike Blues workshop. You would meet a whole bunch of very good people and see a lot of razors, hones, etc. It starts at 10 AM - 5PM. It is about 35 miles south of St. Paul on Hwy 52 in Cannon Falls, MN.
HNSB will be a great local resource for you and if your ever in St. Paul, MN please come on over to my home. I will PM you my contact inf and directions to the razor meet if you can make it.

Definitely recommend that you go to the meet. It is soooooo much easier to actually see all the nuances of this most excellent hobby rather than stumble your way through it.
Welcome to SRP! Str8 shaving takes some time to get, but once you do you'll be wondering why in the world you didn't switch years ago!
