Thread: Eddie in Okinawa

Hey hows it goin everyone. I have been debating getting into straight razors for a while now but never really jumped on it. I said that I was going to get one to a buddy of mine the other day and he reminded me i had said the same thing 2 years ago so I decided he was right it is time to get going. That being said aside from an article I just read for beginners I know nothing about the razors just that it said to try to find a used one at first so I wont have to start with the hassle of proper honing right away. So if any one has an old set out there for sale let me now i will be going to the classifieds next to see what is out there. Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Hi Eddie and welcome to SRP. You definately can't go wrong in the classifieds..many good shave ready razors up for sale in there. Do lots of reading here and ask any questions needed to help you along.

Ok Just got my first razor from the classifieds section. waiting on it to arrive in the next couple weeks hopefully.Boker "Knute Nelson" 11/16 sounds nice I will be trying it out soon.
