Today I had my first straight shave where I didn't have to go back and clean things up with my old disposable. I figured that was a good as reason as any to introduce myself to this fine forum that made that progress possible.

Thanks for the great community full of sage (and friendly) advice. I still have a lot to learn and hope to be able contribute and give back.

Congrats on your first full straight shave. It's always a great feeling when you don't have to use anything else but the straight! Pretty soon you won't even be able to remember what shaving with a cartridge feel like.

I'm pretty sure I'll always remember what the cartridge felt like. Unfortunately the razor burn will forever be burned into my brain!

I've a long way to go, but you are right, it is very rewarding to get a full shave from a straight edge.
