Thanked: 0Hello ya'll
Stumbled across the site by accident a couple if weeks ago, but the fascination with an old fashion art form has me intrigued. I had mever realized so many men still shaved with straight razor. I'm going to have to give it a try. A little about me, I now live in more urban area, but grew up on a farm in the deep South. As a result, I learn how to repair my own cars and home and enjoy it. I don't like a disposable society, and it seems here I would not be alone. Looking forward to making some new acquaintances if nothing else.

Thanked: 1371Welcome to SRP!
If you haven't already, be sure to check out the wiki (the link is at the top of the page), in particular the beginner's guide there.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Wellcome!
These stuff are not disposable. You can easily find a 100 year old razor which is still in great condition and work as new one.
I agree the Beginners guide is a great place to start.

Three Bladed Monster
Welcome! Shed the three bladed monster. Jump in and enjoy one of the many pleasures for men. I agree you can find a great vintage razor for 30 bucks and up. I have one that cost me $28.00 plus shipping. It had allot of hone wear but was still in good shape and it shaves every bit as good as some of my expensive stuff. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Shave On!
