Welcome to SRP the absolute best community for STR8 shavers. I too used to collect fountain pens but now it's all about straights.

Hey, I want to thank y'all for the warm welcomes and suggestions. I'm sorry I'm late in getting back to you. I've been busy reading everything I can on this site and trying to absorb as much information as the files in my head will allow. My Dovo gave me a smooth first shave. The second shave wasn't so smooth and I think I need to "hone" my stropping skills. Also, the strop was extremely stiff and dry with a few small imperfections (Illinois 127). I treated it with a small amount of neatsfoot oil and a beer bottle and will see how it works out.
